The tests of the new system, of which two GMLRS launched for the “average range”, took place at the S-Sands missile landfill in New Mexico (USA). MLRS combines the wheel chassis of HX 8 × 8 truck from Rheinmetall with a double launcher from Lockheed Martin. The new system should be replaced by the MFZO 2 mobile artillery missile system (Mars-2).
