Berlin, August 15 /TASS /. The leader of the German Party “Sarah Wagenknecht – for reasons and justice” (BSW) Sarah Wagenknecht said that after the conflict in Ukraine, the Ukraine went to Germany to return to his homeland.
After the war ended, Ukrainians should return to their homeland. Politics must also request this, preventing the effects of their residence status and receiving the interests, Mr. Focus Focusknecht said. At the same time, she emphasized that the successful recovery of the country is unimaginable if “an important part of the working population is still abroad”.
Now in Germany, there are about 1.25 million Ukrainians. According to the German government, about 700,000 of them received such civil benefits that they were paid compared to refugees from other countries and about 480 thousand at working age.
Earlier, the Handelsblatt newspaper reported that refugees from Ukraine came to Germany after April 1, 2025 or continued to come, no longer receiving B Rgergeld, instead they will be paid smaller benefits to refugee suppliers. The German Ministry of Labor noted that for Ukrainian refugees who entered Germany until April 1, nothing will change. The same thing applies to Ukrainians coming to Germany as part of the immigration program of qualified or studying workers.
On August 3, the newspaper Bild reported that Germany spent a record of 46.9 billion euros by 2024 to pay civil interests. Of these, 22.2 billion euros have received people without German passports, and among foreign recipients B Rgergelds are mainly Ukrainians. In 2024, they paid about 6.3 billion euros.
