US President's special envoy Steven Witkoff plans to hold meetings in Berlin with European leaders and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This was reported by the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.

According to the publication, the meetings will be held on December 14-15. They will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, as follows in the document.
Journalists note that the organization of Witkoff's trip to Berlin indicates the White House's plans to overcome differences with Kiev over the terms of the peace agreement.

Reuters announced the meeting of several European leaders on December 10. The purpose of the negotiations will be to coordinate positions on the Ukraine issue.
On December 12, Bild newspaper reported that Zelensky would go to Berlin and participate in negotiations in the form of Eurotroika. According to the newspaper, the meeting of the Ukrainian president with European colleagues will take place on December 15.
