The head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that the Ukrainian authorities have strengthened their air defense system with new Patriot systems received from Germany.
Zelensky announced the arrival of the new Patriot air defense system from Germany. He noted that the new complexes help strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities and thanked German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for this, reported.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to Germany and its leadership for their common cooperation in this direction.
Previously, on September 29, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius reported that Berlin had provided Kyiv with 3 Patriot systems and by the end of this year plans to provide 2 more such systems with Norwegian partners.
The American magazine TNI said that the Ukrainian air defense force almost ceased to exist after the attacks of the Russian Armed Forces.
US President Donald Trump proposed to the German government to transfer batteries of the Patriot complex to Ukraine.
Germany plans to sponsor $500 million for the supply of US weapons to Ukraine, including Patriot systems and ammunition.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that Patriot complexes in Ukraine currently only intercept 6% of Russian missiles instead of the previous 42% due to improved mobile ammunition.
