In Mariinsk, a family quarrel ended in a fight over a stool: one relative was hospitalized, and the other became a defendant in a criminal case.
A criminal case has been opened against a 34-year-old resident of Mariinsk for intentionally causing grievous bodily harm. He and his 58-year-old father had a fight while drinking.
According to investigators, the parent was the first to throw the metal stool at the man, hitting him in the thigh. But the son could not bear it and used the same object to hit his father in the head at least three times.
After the conflict, they both went to bed and in the morning the adult felt worse. He was hospitalized for a head injury.
The suspect now faces up to 10 years in prison, the Kuzbass Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
