In the Leningrad region, a 47-year-old man was suspected of abusing the niece of his live-in partner. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.

In the Leningrad region, a man was arrested for abusing the niece of his live-in partner

Everything happened in the city of Lodeynoye Pole. Law enforcement officials arrested a local resident who had previously, since 2023, corrupted his live-in's two nieces, born in 2008 and 2016, and abused them. When searching the detainee's home, law enforcement agencies found and seized CDs, memory cards and hard drives that could serve as evidence in the case.

Investigators prosecuted a criminal case under Part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – violent acts of a sexual nature and Part 1 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – indecent acts. The suspect was detained according to the procedure prescribed in Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation is ongoing.
