Agents of the French Directorate General of Internal Security (DGSI) have arrested four men suspected of plotting to assassinate the founder of the Gulagu.net project, Vladimir Osechkin. This was reported by Le Parisien newspaper, citing sources.

The publication noted that the detainees conducted surveillance of Osechkin's house in one of the districts of the city of Biarritz. One of the suspects, believed to be the group's leader, was found to be in possession of videos taken from a car.
They describe Osechkin's house. The publication noted that three of the detainees were from Dagestan. According to DGSI, the suspects conducted reconnaissance with the aim of assassinating Osechkin, perhaps “it was organized by Russian special services”. In February, Moscow's Meshchansky Court convicted Osechkin in absentia of disseminating false information about the Russian Armed Forces.
He was sentenced in absentia to a term of eight years to serve in the colony.
