The Nazran District Court of the Republic of Ingushetia arrested a local resident Ruslan Chakhkiev, accused of deceiving the wives of missing participants in a special military operation (SVO). Lenta.ru was informed about this by the joint press service of the regional courts.

The decision to choose a preventive measure in the form of temporary detention was made at the request of the Investigator. The man was charged under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”).
According to investigators, Chakhkiev, using another name, promised the families of the fighters to include them in the prisoner of war exchange list. He deceived the victims, promising to clarify the fate of the missing in exchange for money.
He was detained on November 1 and during interrogation, he confessed. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center for two months.
Previously it was reported that in the Republic of Bashkortostan, a member of the SVO, who was married to the mother of a local district police officer, filed a fraudulent declaration.
