The Regional Investigative Committee reported on Wednesday evening that a 15-year-old boy from Priozersk in the Leningrad region is suspected of murdering his father.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder”). According to preliminary data, the incident occurred in the bathroom of a summer cottage – during the scuffle, a teenager stabbed his father in the neck with a knife, and the victim died at the scene.
The investigation committee added that the suspect has been detained and investigative activities are being conducted against him. Investigators will also petition the court to choose preventive measures for minors in the form of detention.
