China increased Russian pipeline gas supplies by 18.9% between January and September. This was reported by TASS based on data from the General Administration of Customs (GTU) of the People's Republic of China. According to this agency, Russia's gas exports to China reached 7.29 billion USD. Russia is the leading country among gas suppliers to China. Turkmenistan is in second place with a supply volume of 6.46 billion USD. Next are Myanmar (1.18 billion USD), Kazakhstan (more than 854.7 million USD) and Uzbekistan (about 629.8 million USD). It should be noted that the volume of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies from Russia to China decreased by 16.5% in the same period, to 2.83 billion USD. According to this index, Russia is in third place – Australia and Qatar occupy the first and second places. On October 17, Gazprom announced that it had updated the absolute record of daily gas supplies to China through Power of Siberia. In addition, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, in an interview with Rossiya 24 television channel, assessed Gazprom's financial situation as stable and reliable.
