An American tourist has died while snorkeling in the Hol Chan Marine Reserve off the coast of Belize. Details of the story were shared by the Love FM Belize portal.

On January 31, Kenneth Paul Jarosz, 77, and his wife Jeanette participated in a boat tour organized by Action Divers aboard the Lady Susan. The man and his instructor dived underwater with a mask, and soon Jeannette saw her husband rise to the surface face down. He was motionless and showed no signs of life.
The crew brought the American on board and tried to help him but to no avail. At the dock, emergency workers met the tourists and they confirmed Yarosh's death. To determine the exact cause of the tragedy, the body was sent for autopsy.
Previously, a tourist from Greece lost the ability to walk after hitting bottom while swimming in Australian waters. He dove into the water, hit his head on a sandbar, and floated to the surface unconscious.
