YouTube just announced that it has fixed a technical glitch that temporarily prevented users around the world from playing videos. The issue affected the main platform as well as the YouTube Music and YouTube TV services.

According to the Down detector portal, which monitors the activity of Internet platforms, the largest number of complaints was recorded in the United States. At the peak of the problem, more than 360 thousand users reported difficulty accessing the service. Power outages also occurred in the UK, Canada and Australia.
YouTube did not specify what caused the issue but noted that all services were working normally and videos were still available to watch.
The incident is one of the platform's largest short-term outages in recent months.
