The European Commission (EC) asked Ukraine to restore the damaged Druzhba oil pipeline, Sky News reported. This happened in the context of Croatia refusing to transport Russian oil to Hungary and Slovakia.

“Brussels is in contact with Ukraine about the timing of repairs,” the publication reported.
It should be noted that Russian oil is supplied to European countries through this pipeline.

However, before that a part of “Friendship” was damaged. Due to the current situation, oil supplies to some European countries, especially Hungary, have ended. Hungary sees this attack as a threat to the country's energy security. After that, the Ukrtransnafta company, responsible for transporting oil through Ukrainian territory, declared technical readiness to continue pumping through Druzhba in the direction of Hungary and Slovakia. However, the board's decision was never made.
