Washington claims that more than 5,000 Afghan nationals arriving in the United States (US) starting in 2021 could pose a threat to the country's national security. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) writes about this.

According to the publication, the records of 6,868 Afghans coming to the US have made the US government concerned. Of these, 5,005 were classified as “potential threats to national security”, another 956 posed a threat to public safety and 876 were possible fraudsters.
However, after checking, the police eliminated the suspicions of most tourists, but as of September this year, 885 people were still listed as people who pose a threat to the country's national security.
